At Kitsquad, we believe everyone should have the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors. We provide hiking and expedition equipment to individuals and families who might otherwise be unable to access it.
To help us continue supporting as many people as possible, we have recently reviewed our application process.
Applications
Applications will re-open on 1 October 2026.
Please allow:
- Up to 4 weeks for your application to be reviewed.
- A further 2 to 3 weeks for equipment to be sent if your application is successful.

Making Your Application
When completing your application, please tell us:
- What equipment you need.
- Why you need it.
- What outdoor activities, expedition or adventure you plan to undertake.
- How receiving kit from Kitsquad will help you.
Applications are assessed on the information provided, so the more detail you can give, the better.
Benefit Evidence
To be considered for support, you must provide evidence of the benefits you currently receive.
Your evidence must include:
- A benefits statement dated within the last month.
- Your name as it appears on the statement.
- If applying as a couple, both names shown on the statement.
- Evidence of a benefit payment (the payment amount is not important).
- If you are applying for children, evidence that they are included on your latest Universal Credit statement.
Important
Applications that do not include the required benefit evidence will automatically be declined.
